Cruise on Clipper Odyssey among the numerous scattered islands of Japan's Inland Sea from Kobe to Honshu and one of the country's most prized gardens - the 17th century Koraku-en. Cross the Korea Strait to discover the superb temples and palaces of Kyongju, the "museum without walls". On the other side of the East China Sea experience the glamorous hustle of Shanghai followed by the ornate splendour of the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China during a 3-night stay in Beijing.

London - Tokyo
"Tour & Cruise" passengers fly from London to Narita airport and transfer to Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo.
Wed 16 May
Tokyo
We spend a full day exploring this fascinating city, with its unique blend of 20th century consumer culture and lingering older traditions. Enjoy a sightseeing tour and a visit to the Edo Tokyo Museum.
Thu 17 May
Tokyo - Kyoto
We transfer by Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto, hoping to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji en route, and transfer to the Rhiga Royal Hotel. Kyoto today remains the cultural and spiritual capital and we spend the afternoon discovering this special city on a sightseeing drive and visit the castle.

Kyoto
With over 2,000 temples and shrines, trio of palaces and dozens of gardens and museums, Kyoto offers a glimpse into Japan�s past. During our tours we will visit several outstanding temples, including Kiyomizu-dera and Ginkakuji.
Sun 20 May
Nara
A short drive from Kyoto is Nara, Japan's first "permanent" capital from 710 to 785. We visit the Todai-ji temple, housing the world's largest bronze statue, the Daibutsu, in the world's largest wooden structure. We stay overnight in a "Ryokan".
Ryokan: Experience the serenity of Japanese life in a traditional inn. Eat beautifully presented seasonal specialities, sleep on a futon in an elegant room with tatami mats and sliding screens. A truly unique completion to your tour of Japan.

Today we arrive in Korea where we visit the "museum without walls", Kyongju, capital of the Shilla dynasty for more than 1,000 years. Explore the many temples, palace ruins and gardens of this World Heritage site on a full-day excursion.
